In case you didn’t know…
Bayley was a part of the ‘Four Horsewomen’ of NXT, four women who changed the definition of Women’s Wrestling for good. While Charlotte Flair was the breakthrough star of the four, Bayley was probably fared the worst thus far.
Her character has been unable to connect with fans in the WWE Universe ever since she got called up. Today, she’s little more than a background character while Sasha Banks, Paige, Alexa Bliss and Asuka are the front line figures on RAW.

Dave Meltzer mentioned why WWE may have finally given up on Bayley for good:
While this is not necessarily fact, one can see the signs already. Bayley is no longer pushed as a top star. She’s in the background, almost as a sidekick for Sasha Banks now.
What’s next?
Bayley will be a part of the Women’s Royal Rumble match. It’s extremely unlikely that she’ll win it. However, let’s hope for a strong showing for our beloved huggable Superstar.

All hope is not lost. If the current character did not get over, maybe a change in gimmick will yield better results.
