This game mode is similar to last year’s Call of Duty Warzone’s zombie event where players were turned into zombies after dying. Two of the moves from Zombie Royale, the charged jump and the EMP Blast (although renamed to be Spectral Blast) make a return. The third move however is a new one called Teleport which as its name suggests, teleports players a short distance.

Unfortunately, using the Teleport skill can potentially break players’ Ghost of Verdansk sessions. Reddit user iByRaMa has found that using the Teleport skill could potentially clip users underneath the ground, falling until they die. In the video, iByRaMa is seen using the charge jump and then using Teleport before they fall. From the looks of it, it appears as though they managed to pass collision with the Teleport skill by pointing it towards the ground.
Although the bug was encountered through the method listed above, it’s unsure whether other factors went into the bug, and it’s possible falling through the ground with Teleport might end up requiring more steps than what iByRaMa did. It’s yet another strange Call of Duty: Warzone bug that could potentially become more frustrating the more often it’s reproduced.
With Call of Duty: Warzone’s Ghost of Verdansk being a limited-time game mode, it stands to reason that this issue would be fixed sooner rather than later, assuming enough players encounter it. Regardless, similar to last year, this year’s The Haunting event has been generally well-received, in part due to the fun Ghosts of Verdansk game mode.
With a game as large as this and with as many players as Call of Duty: Warzone has, it makes sense bugs like the Teleport bug manage to pop up every now and again, especially with limited-time game modes. The Call of Duty: Warzone Haunting event is set to run from October 19th to November 2nd which doesn’t leave much time to fix the Teleport bug, though. Hopefully, it’s a bug that not many Call of Duty: Warzone players will encounter.
