Funimation revealed that starting on May 5th, popular older shows like Cardcaptor Sakura, Love Live!, and Toradora! will all be joining the streaming service. That’s just the start, though, as the service also revealed more shows and movies that will be joining in the near future.

In all, the classic anime Funimation will be adding on May 5th include:

Toradora! Cardcaptor Sakura Love Live! School Idol Project (2nd Season) Love Live! The School Idol Project Movie Nagi-Asu: A Lull in the Sea

These anime will be joining the service at a currently unannounced date:

rakawa Under the Bridge (Seasons 1 & 2) bunny drop Chronicles of the Going Home Club Daily Lives of High School Boys The Eccentric Family Genshiken Second Generation Ghastly Prince Enma Burning Up Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl Hanasaku Iroha ~ Blossoms for Tomorrow ~ Hanasaku Iroha ~ HOME SWEET HOME ~ (Movie) If Her Flag Breaks kimi ni todoke -From Me to You- (Seasons 1 & 2) PandoraHearts YURUYURI (Seasons 1 & 2)

This content addition is likely welcome right now, as so many people are stuck at home during the coronavirus shutdown. Additionally, Funimation has unfortunately had to put a pause on some of its simulcast dubbed shows, as the company’s staff has transitioned to working from home. So anime fans can at least catch up on some old series while waiting for the newer ones to continue.

For anime fans who aren’t particularly interested in these shows, there’s still more good news from Funimation. The anime company will be hosting a two-day virtual anime convention for fans later this year, which should help to make up for the myriad of anime events canceled due to the coronavirus.
