RELATED: Best Food Network Shows If You Want To Learn How To Cook
The folks over at the Food Network clearly know how to branch out and try new things, featuring more and more creative series that break free of the cookie-cutter (pun intended) cooking/baking show or competition. Here are some of the most hilarious shows on the Food Network.
8 Tiny Food Fight
Tiny Food Fight is a 2021 cooking tournament hosted by celebrity chef, Darnell Ferguson, and comedian, Mamrie Hart. As the title may imply, Tiny Food Fight isn’t just like any other food competition; it involves precision, accuracy, and tiny little tools!
Contestants are tasked with cooking up delicious miniature meals; complete with mini tools, a tiny kitchen space, and an itty bitty (yet still beautiful) plating presentation. Watching these talented contestants racing to beat the clock, trying their best to plate gourmet wagyu beef with toothpicks and tweezers makes for a fun night with the family, filled with laughs.
7 Glutton For Punishment
Glutton For Punishment started all the way back in 2007 and is hosted by author and chef, Bob Blumer. If anyone has ever felt underqualified for a job, Glutton For Punishment will surely ease those viewers’ minds. Blumer is tasked with entering various food-related competitions with only five days to learn all he needs in order to match up with other competitors. From catching catfish with his bare hands to rolling 44 bagels in exactly five minutes, Blumer takes on it all; and even surprises audiences by placing in certain competitions putting all the other pros to shame.
6 Worst Bakers/Cooks In America
After the success of the Worst Cooks In America in 2010, Food Network decided to widen its horizons by creating the spinoff, Worst Bakers in America in 2016. While Worst Cooks has seen a wide range of rotating judges/panels, Worst Bakers’ season one is hosted by Ace Of Cakes’ Duff Goldman and former top model, Lorraine Pascale. Later in season two, Goldman was then replaced by the thirteenth season winner of Food Network Star, Jason Smith.

Both of these shows are reality television shows in which all the contestants are specially chosen due to their less than spectacular kitchen skills. Every single episode is filled with the hilarious chaos of the contestants cluelessly trying their best to complete each dish while avoiding dangerous cooking hazards along the way!
5 Do You Even Food?
Do You Even Food? is a food-based quiz show that is hosted by actor and writer, Yoni Lotan. Lotan goes out on the streets with his crew, interviewing unsuspecting everyday citizens, and quizzing them all about food-related trivia. Whether it be Lotan fooling people with facetious food facts, convincing people into thinking that apples have feelings, or him enthusiastically asking interviewees about their thoughts on the newest quiche scandal of the year, Do You Even Food? is a hilarious Food Network show for those that enjoy more candid moments.
4 Cooks Vs. Cons
Hosted by Geoffrey Zakarian, Cooks Vs. Cons puts home cooks up against professionals in an extreme cooking competition. The catch is that the judges are not privy to each of the contestants’ true identities when judging each dish to create a true blind test without any prejudice. During each round, contestants are tasked with incorporating new secret ingredients, truly challenging their abilities in the kitchen and how versatile and creative they can be.
Guessing along with the judges with no prior expectations of each contestant and their skill level or qualifications can make for the perfect night in.
3 Celebrity Food Fight
Celebrity Food Fight first premiered in 2015 and is hosted by actor and writer, Andy Richter. Despite its leading title, the guests on the show do not sling mac and cheese at one another for half an hour. Instead, the show is described as the “ultimate dinner party,” complete with hilarious food games.

Guests team up to go head-to-head in food-themed trivia and challenges all for a chance to win the coveted golden dinner plate. Meanwhile, the losing team is dealt the ultimate consolation prize of washing the dishes after the party!
2 Guy’s Grocery Games
None other than the famous Food Network personality, Guy Fieri, is the energetic host of Guy’s Grocery Games. Four chefs compete in elimination challenges to create the perfect dish to please the panel of judges and win the luxurious cash prize. While most contestants on food elimination shows have a fully stocked pantry of gourmet grade ingredients, the Guy’s Grocery Games chefs aren’t as lucky. Each contestant must rush through the grocery aisles to find their key ingredients each round.
Fieri’s charming personality and the mundane grocery store setting keep a more relaxed and casual atmosphere; keeping the outrageous challenges light and fun instead of overly tense.
1 Cutthroat Kitchen
For any foodies that love elimination shows but hate the serious atmosphere and tension between the contestants, should definitely give Cutthroat Kitchen a watch. Host, Alton Brown, knows how to encourage contestants to play dirty; after all, it is all part of the game!
Each chef is given a total of 100,000 dollars to use during auctions that are held between or during rounds. The contestants can then use their money however they want; whether it be on an item or advantage that will help them succeed, or, something to sabotage their competition. These advantages and sabotages range greatly and are as outrageous as one could imagine! From something as simple as buying out all of a key ingredient to something as ridiculous as replacing all heats sources with hair dryers or heat guns, Cutthroat Kitchen has it all.
