The latest Call of Duty: Warzone glitch comes from ODST_Viper2425 on Reddit. After winning the right to return to the battle in the Gulag, they parachuted back into the expansive Verdansk map. Instead of casually parachuting back in, this user instead used the descent speed to quickly navigate back to a certain area. However, things went incredibly wrong as the neared the ground.

As soon as they pulled their chute to slow their descent, a weird glitch occurred and rocketed the character into the sky. Oddly enough, the player’s screen began flashing red and displayed the visual blood effects indicating that they had somehow taken damage. For whatever reason, after deploying the parachute, the player continued flying vertically up into the air, giving them a fantastic view of the entire map and hilariously pushed them over 20,000 meters from their contract assignment.
It’s unknown the cause of this issue, whether to location they attempted to land on somehow bugged out or if something happened related to pulling their chute at the speed of their descent. Astoundingly, the player is launched above the normal skybox for the map at incredible speeds. At one point, the game even briefly freezes, almost as if to catch up to the player character. Infinity Ward has yet to comment on the glitch.
For all the glitches and cheaters in the Warzone mode, Infinity Ward has been hard at work on fixing things. Last week, the studio announced that over 70,000 bans were issued worldwide, though work continues to protect the mode from those who could just as easily create a new account and hope back into the free to play mode. In fact, a former cheater has come forward to offer tips for how Infinity Ward could better automate the detection process using a program to scan and find red flags in user stats.
