Truth be told, the dialogue’s beats perfectly prime the scene to be a comic set-piece. For instance, while the Settler says, “Something nasty’s living just around the corner from here. It’s only a matter of time before there’s some real trouble,” it’s as if he’s completely oblivious to the irate Deathclaw rampaging right behind him.

Funnily enough, the protagonist and NPC continue their conversation right up until the moment when the Deathclaw has a word with both gentlement by speaking with its fists. Of course, explaining the scenario is far less amusing than actually watching the incident itself, so fans would be doing themselves a disservice if they didn’t check out the video below.

While Brian Healy’s clip is definitely entertaining, Fallout 4 is chock-full of these kinds of events gone awry. As it happens, another fan was lucky enough to document Cait — one of the game’s various companions — getting waylaid during conversation, as the NPC gets attacked mid-dialogue by a Ghoul.

Of course, this isn’t the first time a Deathclaw’s been the center of outrageous behavior in Fallout 4, either. In fact, just a couple of days ago, a player who happened to be wielding a baseball bat at the time took out a vertibird with a Deathclaw using a swing that would have made David “Big Papi” Oritz proud.

With so many kooky occurrences cropping up in the Wasteland, it’s no wonder Fallout 4 fans keep coming back for more fun. Having said that, however, if the base version of post-apocalyptic RPG isn’t wacky enough for some players, there are always mods out there to kick the craziness up to 11, such as the “Macho Man” Randy Savage mod that was made explicitly to turn Deathclaws into mutated versions of the professional wrestler. As if Fallout 4 fans needed any more nightmare fuel when they go to bed.

Fallout 4 is out now and is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
