Last month, The Hollywood Reporter sat down with Cyborg actor Ray Fisher for an in-depth interview about his experiences with Whedon and Warner Bros. on Justice League. Fisher has previously called out Whedon for his unprofessional and abusive behavior on the set, which resulted in an internal investigation from WarnerMedia. It was also reported that Fisher was not the only Justice League actor to have issues with Whedon.

During an interview with Isreal’s N12 News, Gadot addressed the previous reporting that Whedon didn’t approve of her meddling with her character, saying, “What I had with Joss basically is that he kind of threatened my career and said if I did something he would make my career miserable. I handled it on the spot.” According to an earlier report from The Hollywood Reporter, a reliable source said that Gadot had issues with Whedon’s handling of her character, believing her to be too aggressive when compared to her portrayal in Wonder Woman. According to the same source, the biggest clash came when Whedon pushed Gadot to record lines she didn’t approve of, resulting in the Buffy The Vampire Slayer creator disparaging Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins and threatening Gadot’s career. According to a witness on the production who spoke to investigators, Whedon was boasting about his confrontation with Gadot and insisted that as the writer, she was “going to shut up” and say his lines or risk him making her look “incredibly stupid” in Justice League.
While Fisher seems to be out of the DCEU, no longer being included in the upcoming Flash movie, Gadot will be reteaming with Jenkins for the third Wonder Woman movie and remains one of only a few Justice League actors to be reprising her role. Aquaman actor Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller, who portrays Barry Allen/The Flash, will also reprise their roles in future projects.
With an upcoming reboot for both Batman and Superman, it seems unlikely that Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck will be portraying these characters again. Although, Affleck is said to be portraying Batman one more time in The Flash film.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League is now available on HBO Max.
